What is the recommended use for DEFY®?

Mix one DEFY® packet before, during, or after social activities or adult beverage occasions. Additional packet several hours apart, as needed. DEFY® tastes best chilled.

What makes DEFY® work so well?

What is N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine?

N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine (NAC) is the acetylated form of the amino acid cysteine. NAC is a sulfur-containing amino acid that serves as a direct precursor for the synthesis of glutathione, which is also a part of the body’s antioxidant defense system. NAC is an antioxidant that has been used to combat viruses and helps the liver detoxify a wide range of pollutants such as cigarette smoke, auto exhaust, certain fungicides, and some toxic metals through improving phase II detoxification mechanisms in the liver.

Do I continue to drink water with DEFY®?

Yes. You may continue to hydrate with water as part of your normal hydration routine. Water is essential to good health.

Will DEFY® make me less intoxicated when drinking alcohol?

No. Only time can reduce blood alcohol content. While DEFY® helps metabolize the toxic by-products of alcohol metabolism (acetaldehyde), DEFY® will not reduce blood alcohol content. Always enjoy alcohol responsibly.

Will DEFY® give me energy, or keep me awake at night?

Maybe. There are no added stimulants (like caffeine) in DEFY®, and vitamins are not direct sources of energy as are carbohydrates, fats, and proteins. However, some B-vitamins are involved in the process of converting blood sugar into energy, and act as partners for the enzymes involved in the body’s metabolism, cell production, tissue repair, and other vital processes. Everyone has a unique body chemistry, and so try DEFY® and discover a routine that works best for your body.

Recommended Daily Allowance (% Daily Value) : 588% of Riboflavin? 8333% of Vitamin B12? 2500% Vitamin B6? Is that unsafe?

Not unsafe. The levels of Riboflavin, Vitamin B6, and Vitamin B12 are well within safe uptake limits.

The proportion of Riboflavin, B6 and B12 that is absorbed and enters the circulation, also known as bioavailability, varies by individual. Excess vitamins are simply flushed out of the system daily.

Has DEFY® been approved by the FDA?

No. DEFY® is FDA Compliant. Dietary supplements are stringently regulated but are not approved by the FDA. The Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act (DSHEA) created a regulatory framework for the safety and labeling of dietary supplements. The FDA is responsible for regulating the safety of food, drugs, cosmetics, biological products, medical devices, and consumer products that emit radiation. It has the power to establish federal rules and regulations about these products. FDA compliance is the act of following these regulations.

Is DEFY® FDA Compliant to cGMPs?

Yes. cGMP refers to the Current Good Manufacturing Practice regulations enforced by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).  cGMPs provide for systems that assure proper design, monitoring, and control of manufacturing processes and facilities.  Adherence to the cGMP regulations assures the identity, strength, quality, and purity of drug products by requiring that manufacturers of medications adequately control manufacturing operations.  This includes establishing strong quality management systems, obtaining appropriate quality raw materials, establishing robust operating procedures, detecting and investigating product quality deviations, and maintaining reliable testing laboratories.

How many packets can I consume of DEFY® per day?

Every person is unique and every scenario is different. We recommend taking an additional packet several hours apart, as needed. DEFY® takes time to be absorbed by the body, so individual results may vary. Excess vitamins that cannot be absorbed will be naturally flushed from the body. Consult your personal doctor or healthcare provider for advice specific to your needs.

Who should not take DEFY®?

While vitamin and mineral supplements are widely used and generally considered safe for children, you may wish to check with your doctor or pharmacist before giving these or any other dietary supplements to your child.
